Walk to Cure Diabetes
Each fall, Walks are held in five locations around the Bay Area. They are a great opportunity to meet other people whose lives have been affected by type 1 diabetes and raise money for research. There are many ways to get involved: volunteer, start a Walk team with your family or co-workers, host an event benefiting the Walk, and corporate sponsorship. Read More>

Volunteer Opportunities

Ours is a Volunteer-Staff partnership, unique in the annals of nonprofit organizations. Ultimately, it is the passion of our volunteers that sets JDRF's tone and agenda. This has been true since our founding in 1970 by the parents of children with type 1 diabetes, who were determined to find a cure for this disease. Now we number tens of thousands of volunteers working through more than 100 Chapters, Branches, and Affiliates in the U.S. and around the world. Read more>
